Im Nation und bei Facebook tobt ein amtlicher Shitstorm auf diversen Fan Pages bezüglich der Go fund me - Aktion um Team USA (bestehend aus der Creme de la Creme der US Pro Szene) die Teilnahme am Nations Cup der Millenium series zu finanzieren.
Die Reaktionen schwanken zwischen Wut und Entsetzen...was sagt ihr zu der Aktion?

Schwierig. Einerseits wird bei gofundme aller möglicher Scheiss erfolgreich finanziert andererseits sollte man vermuten dass ein "Pro" Team wohl genug Kohle haben sollte um sich so einen Trip zu finanzieren.
Wieso sich da so ein Shitstorm zusammenbraut kann ich nicht nachvollziehen, es liegt doch an einem selbst ob ich sowas unterstütze oder nicht.
Ganz ehrlich, Team USA wird so viele Fanboys haben... da wird so viel Kohle reinkommen, dass damit noch ne ordentliche Playersparty finanziert werden kann.

Naja, fairerweise sollte man anmerken das so ziemlich alle Spieler sowieso bei diesem Event für ihr eigenes bzw ein anderes Team auflaufen. Sie sind also eh vor Ort und die Aktion beläuft sich wohl auf die Fällige Startgebühr für das Nationalteam. Da das Nationalteam allerdings keine eigenen Sponsoren hat wird es mehr oder minder an den Spielern hängen beliben die für ihr Land auflaufen was ja nun auch wieder nicht das gelbe vom Ei sein kann.

Die Reaktionen sind fast ausschliesslich verständnislos.

z.B.:

Now, as far as How Big Is Paintball ?? Well, the industry wouldn't put up a paltry amount of money (approximately $2000 or so) in order to pay for the United States team to represent the country. . .THATS how big it is. I'm hoping things can change, cause this is a bleak future. What happens next year ? Can we be so lucky that maybe a Make A Wish candidate uses their wish to send Team USA over versus going on a trip to Disney World with their family while still breathing ? I'd hate to see the pros put in that risky situation. Maybe people will decide using their hard earned money for others to play ball across the pond is infact worth it and do it again, I'm hoping it won't be necessary. But that folks, is How Big Paintball Is."

Aber daran merkt man, dass die Zeiten von "Koks und Nutten" vorbei sind. Vor 10-12 Jahren hätte das keinen interessiert.

was oft angeführt wurde in den kommentaren war, dass sie ihr natio jersey nach dem event für locker 150$ verkaufen könnten. der anteil beläuft sich, meine ich, auf 127$ pP.... ich denke anthrax macht denen die dinger für lau und es wird restpaint verschossen.

bei dem betrag würde ich keinen fragen sondern selbst zahlen.

Schwirrte in meinem Kopf als ich den Müll oben lesen musste...Die sollen einfach daheim bleiben.

Ich finde es fair das sie nach Kohle für starte und paint fragen, wenn die kein Sponsor dafür haben. Wer hat denn für die deutsche Nationalmannschaft die starte und Paint bezahlt, glaube nicht das die Spieler das selber getragen haben. Und warum startet jetzt keine deutsche Nationalmannschaft?????

In regards to team USA using a go fund me.

"I think there's a lot to this that none of you know or understand . That being said I do agree it wasn't the best route or worded the best and not all of us were aware this was going down before it blew up.

Either way it's funny to me that this shit can get 100s of comments and shares of negativity but I will guarantee that every single person on team USA roster has done more to positively help paintball or grow paintball than all of the bitching and crying combined from everyone here. "

It's frustrating to see how much effort goes into negative bullshit but when it comes time to do something positive or actually help grow the sport we all love and make sacrifices to grow and play everyone disappears.

I'm challenging everyone who is upset by this to go out and bring 1 new person to play paintball by the end of the summer.

Plumlife will be hosting a new player fun weekend very soon. Planning is in works, free day of play for anyone brought out who's never played paintball before.

Let's try putting energy towards growing this industry we all love and support and sacrifice for ( yes we ALL make sacrifices to play whether it be financial, time, effort etc)

Last point.

My team USA jersey from this event is up for sale / raffle. Highest bidder by the end of the 4th of July will receive the jersey and a nice care package.

The Entire amount raised from this will be used to take a new group of kids who otherwise couldn't afford it to play for a day at Wild World Paintball.
