The USPL sent out an email this afternoon filled with details about the World Paintball Championships to be held on October 16-18th on the strip in Las Vegas. The tournament will be held on turf behind the Riviera Hotel and Casino. This should prove to be convenient as the Riviera is giving a great deal on hotels for the event at just $69/night for a room with two queen size beds, and you can walk out the doors of the hotel onto the playing field.
There will also be a Paintball Celebrity Poker Tournament on Friday night and an Industry Award Show on Saturday evening.

Once again this email had absolutely no USPL branding, so maybe it is time we start writing headlines with NPPL?

All paintball games will be played outdoors on turf behind the Riviera Hotel and Casino. Professional, Divisions 1, 2 and 3 in 7man, Divisions 3 and 4 in 5man and Open Pump will be offered at this 3-day event. The grand four-day tradeshow will kick off on Thursday, October 15th. This event is open to the public. Tickets for Grandstand seating and VIP access will be for sale at www.nppl.com starting in September.
The Riviera Hotel and Casino is the host hotel for this event and will be offering an unbelievable $69 rate per night for 2 Queen Beds to NPPL teams, fans and sponsors during the event - this rate includes FREE parking! Registration for the 2009 Las Vegas World Paintball Championships will open Friday, August 21st at www.nppl.com. Teams do not need to pre-qualify to compete in this event. We have added a Division 4 5man for teams wanting to try out the national level without compromising their regional classification.
