Was meint ihr dazu?

Kirill Prihidni :

"If you ask me what feelings did I have right after a crazy Cup 2019 and few days later - than "Ace Ventura" movie would explain you in a very bright way.

Loosing is always suxx. But when you have kinda created that loss - is the worst! Those feelings can drive you crazy and may be some times you can even change your gender... Fortunately all that could happen in either perfect comedy or with a person who doesn't have 19 Cups experience.

Yes, from one side you keep rotating in your head simple idea - if I choose to look deeper and towards another bunker, I must have eliminated the last player and team would have chances to score the point... But multy years realistic experience tells that it's almost impossible to win, when your team is loosing with 3:6 score under two minutes of game time. Of course, you can make a miracle, but chances that it will stop suddenly or it would work in a different way, goes high in the sky.

Yes, there comes a second idea in rotation - what, if I stop immediately after feeling this shot on my hand? Will Sergey then have enough time to kill Chad and push the button? But years of metaphysics says that some things go around and you can't break it! 2015 World Cup Chad got the same shot and couldn't stop himself...Answer is simple - button and chance to win it all attracts you as a light bulb attracts mosquitos at the night time. You can't resist. Your brain doesn't work correctly under the pressure of a time limit. Back then, luck wasn't at the side of Chad George, this time it turned it's face to him. I believe because he dared back then!

But the third idea is still around - don't we deserve the Cup and the overall title after so many years of setting the standards? Why this chance every year is very close, but not ours. Are we doing it in the wrong way? May be it's time quit? Yes, all of those questions are good, but due to sports psychology are not correct. Trick is, that there always will be smb better than you. So if you choose to be like or near that person, you will never reach it. Because people are different. And your frustration would be endless. This doesn't help. This stops you from future goals. Much more realistic to fight yourself and see if you did things better this year than the last one. Just have a look - four last years and three times in the World Cup finals. All of those were different, but every time we (the RL) did it better and better. What places we had in overall rankings? Exactly, we have become second overall for the first time in many years. Last year we had Berdnikov as the the best killer. This year we had him and Smotrov with Karsliev very close. So, there is still some place to be proud, after a realistic look.

In simple words - BE STOIC. The Sport itself is a very hard and gamble way of activity. You can't guarantee anything, but if you set standards, if you prevail, if you stoic enough and you don't afraid to dare from season to season, than the TOP of the TOP would be yours sooner or later. Because under the rules of simple physics - the amount goes in quality.

Nevertheless, Congrats to the winners #HoustonHeat and #SanAntonioXfactor - those guys are there not just because and with a solid rights!

Talking about the event, this World Cup was the biggest event ever. 600+ teams. Huge trade show. Many formats to play every day. Great multinational crowd as always. Friends all over! Perfect awards ceremony. And fare job of the big #NXL organization: Jason Trosen , Camille Baker Lemanski Matt Marshall #gosports, area, parking, REFs, scheduling, marketing, registration... You just love to be the part of that significant annual fare/show, that has been down only just a few years ago with PSP.

BUT, lets still imagine just a few changes:
- turf at the main field and no this itchy signature Orlando sand in all of your equipment and protection anymore.
- kids competition parallel to all others. When league and producers all season long at local fields invite the fresh blood to come over to the World Cup and play there for free. Means, with some given equipment and free paint. Of course some costs for traveling and stay must be at their parents. So only imagine what an addiction a kid would get after stepping in a cool equipment to the battle arena with a roaring crowd and gosports filming him for his friends... Not only a great show! But wise marketing, correct development and new content.

Up to mine personal prospective - each valuable person of our sport MUST do smth for the better coverage and more attraction. Because PROs are not the sport and the industry. We are only at the top. The rest of the mountain are the thousands of amateur and novice players. They form the future for us all. If we have fresh people in - we develop and there is a future. We have a well known personalities around - we stagnate and there is no future. Our mutual job is to make hundreds of thousands of amateur and novice players, by giving them new products, new ideas, new vision of Paintball."
